This paper presents the geotechnical properties of young calcareous rocks of southern Florida. The rocks covered are Miami Key Largo and Fort Thompson limestones. The paper briefly details the formation and areal extent of the rocks and then evaluates several samplers for obtaining maximum recovery in a relatively undisturbed form.
